			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>There’s some debate over who uttered the phrase, “There’s a sucker born every minute.” However, there’s scientific proof that there’s a blog born every half-second.  So while the math might not be precise, I think it’s fair to say that suckers are held to a far higher standard than bloggers.</p>
<p>Blogs may well be the most self-indulgent thing the internet has given us. And that, as if you didn’t know, is saying something. Yet here I am, gleefully presiding over the birth of another blog – one with no more guarantee of quality, editorial direction or reasonably consistent updates than any other.</p>
<p>Is this gonna be fun or what?</p>
<p>With that, I humbly bid you welcome to whatever this turns out to be. Whether or not either of us know what to make of it from post to post, I hope you’ll always feel like you thought you knew what you were doing when you decided to come back again.</p>
<p>Beyond that, you’re on your own.</p>
