There’s some debate over who uttered the phrase, “There’s a sucker born every minute.” However, there’s scientific proof that there’s a blog born every half-second. So while the math might not be precise, I think it’s fair to say that suckers are held to a far higher standard than bloggers.
Blogs may well be the most self-indulgent thing the internet has given us. And that, as if you didn’t know, is saying something. Yet here I am, gleefully presiding over the birth of another blog – one with no more guarantee of quality, editorial direction or reasonably consistent updates than any other.
Is this gonna be fun or what?
With that, I humbly bid you welcome to whatever this turns out to be. Whether or not either of us know what to make of it from post to post, I hope you’ll always feel like you thought you knew what you were doing when you decided to come back again.
Beyond that, you’re on your own.

While this is fine for a first post, I’m waiting for some of rants and musings that were so amusing that it I couldn’t drink anything while reading them or it would come out of my nose.
